The Mercy Seat

The Mercy Seat reveals the self-interest of a stockbroker whose life is spared in the tragedy of 9/11 only to consider using the mercy he has been given to ‘disappear’, starting a new life that is free from obligations to his wife and family. The Mercy Seat probes and reveals the nature of greed and disloyalty in a way that is shocking, provocative and universal. The mesmerizing script opens the door for audiences to reevaluate the true meaning of compassion in an all too merciless world.  The Play is produced by Theatre Yes and directed by Heather Inglis.
