International Day of Mourning for Workers Killed and Injured on the Job

Every week in Alberta, two workers die because of work - a tragedy made more horrific with the knowledge that each one is completely avoidable. Day of Mourning is our opportunity to remember workers killed and to renew our commitment to making workplaces safer. The Edmonton Day of Mourning ceremony reflects the sorrow, the anger, and the hope embodied in this day. For every worker deserves to make it home safe each day.
